Probation Agent for DUI Supervised Probation (DSP) Program

Job Duties:

ü  Reviews Judgment and Sentence with offenders/clients and ensures offenders/clients’ understanding of conditions of probation

ü  Assists offenders/clients with developing a plan to comply with conditions of probation including scheduling required appointments and establishing a meeting schedule for probation supervision

ü   Meets with offenders/clients as scheduled in Riverton and if needed Lander offices and occasionally by telephone to monitor compliance with conditions of probation

ü  Completes required paper work for all client contact

ü  Collects monthly  fees from offenders/clients and submits revenue to Office Manager daily

ü  Develops and maintains an offender/client file with all required documentations of offenders/clients’ compliance of court-ordered probation; provides documentation as needed to the Courts and to the County Attorney`s Office

ü  Provides monthly reports to the Court and to the Prosecuting Attorney regarding offenders/clients progress throughout their probationary period when requested

ü  Makes recommendations to the Court and to the Prosecuting Attorney regarding offenders/clients’ probation

ü  Works with Executive Director to develop and update policies and procedures for the DUI Supervised Probation Program as needed

ü  Provides updated client data, including number of offenders/clients served, number of offenders/clients who appropriately comply with the court’s orders, and the number and extent of intermediate sanctions imposed by courts on non-compliant offenders/clients monthly.

ü  Works with other community groups and individuals active in impaired driving prevention efforts

ü  Assists program staff with conducting educational and training sessions for various groups in the community (for example, Victim Impact Panel, PRIME for Life, school-based programs, health fairs and DUI educational classes)

ü  Develops a familiarity with community-based traffic injury prevention efforts

ü  Attends twice monthly staff meetings and an annual planning retreat

ü  Performs other related duties as assigned
